Holy Names High School in Oakland, California seeks an intelligent, enthusiastic, and compassionate leader for a community of girls in grades 9-12, 28 faculty, as well as staff, volunteers and alumnae. The first secondary school in Oakland, Holy Names is a private Catholic college preparatory school that was established on the shores of Lake Merritt in 1868 by the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary.  

The chief executive officer of the school, reporting to the Board of Directors, carries out the Educational Mission, Philosophy, and Charism or the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary and policies determined in conjunction with the Board. Responsibilities include oversight of all academic, extracurricular, enrollment, and personnel matters, as well as management of the school budget and external relations. The Principal will be the inspirational leader of the all constituencies, broadly informed about academic matters, committed to excellence, and possessing moral and Catholic vision to take the school forward in the charism of the Sisters of the Holy Names.
