The Catholic Schools Consortium provides
much needed support to urban diocesan schools. Where these
schools do receive some support from their parish and surrounding
community, the reality is, due to the area demographics, the means
in most cases simply do not exist.
Through grant funding and support from corporations and individuals,
the Consortium will provide funding to urban diocesan schools,
for such things as teachers, enhanced and strengthened curriculum,
support materials in the areas of math, science, reading etc.,
after school programs, physical education, and the arts. Funding
will also be provided to ensure each school maintains a quality
and safe educational facility.
The
Catholic Schools Consortium has recently assessed all member
schools and identified Language Arts, Technology, Art, Physical
Education, Beautification/Clean up, and Security as immediate
funding initiatives. By immediately focusing
on these initiatives, we move even closer to our goal of providing
educational excellence for all students.
Current members of the Consortium are:
St. Anthony School, Oakland, CA
St. Bernard School, Oakland, CA
St. Jarlath School, Oakland, CA
St. Cornelius School, Richmond, CA
Your contribution will immediately impact hundreds of school
children and will assist in providing support for such things
as, teachers, educational support materials, after school programs,
physical education and music, as well as many other areas of operation,
education, and support.
